Lane

Sandra Lynn Lane, 76, of Staunton, passed away Friday, March 22, 2024 at Staunton 's Health and Rehab Center located in Staunton. She was born May 22, 1947 in Chicago, the daughter of the late Dougald P. Thompson and Florence Labuhn and they preceded her in death.

She married Charles H. “Chip” Lane on Oct. 29, 1977 in Palos Park, Ill. and he preceded her in death on Oct. 27, 2019. She was a bookkeeper at First National Bank in Staunton for many years.

She is survived by her three daughters Sara (John) Knowles, Staunton, Natalie Moore, Coffeen, Ill., and Charlene Miller, Chicago, Ill .; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Evelyn (Carl) Rendel, Texas; several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by one sister, Susan Ziglar; and one brother, Ronald Thompson.

Visitation services will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Williamson Funeral Home located in Staunton. Williamson Funeral Home of Staunton is in charge of arrangements.
