Tonya L. Dickerson (54) of Sorento, on March 12, was charged with possession of meth, less than 5 grams. Dickerson also received two DUI tickets in that on March 12, she did unlawfully operate a 2012 Ford passenger car on Staunton Bunker Hill Rd/Bond Lane.

William Nakoneczny (51) of Elgin on April 24, 2022, was charged with possession of more than 100 but less than 500 grams of cannabis or a substance containing cannabis. Nakoneczny also received a DUI on April 24, 2022, at 10:18 a.m., when he unlawfully operated a 2014 black ford passenger car on I-55 Northbound at IL 138 overpass in Mt. Olive Township.

Eric Foster (58) of Carlinville, on June 13, was charged with theft of the property of Kevin Bone (d/b/a K&B Electronics), being a Vizio TV, intending to permanently deprive Kevin Bone of the use of said property. Said defendant had been previously convicted of retail theft in Macoupin County.

Mattew C. Tibbs (30) of Virden on Feb. 19, was charged with possession of less than 5 grams of meth.

Jessika J. Leatherberry (21) of St. Louis on March 10 was charged with identity theft ($10k - $100k) in that said defendant used the driver’s license of Isabel Lohman, to fraudulently obtain property, being a 2018 Chevrolet Camaro, which had a value of more than $10,000 but less than $100,000. In Count II, Leatherberry on March 10, committed the offense of possessing a stolen vehicle. Defendant possessed a 2018 Chevrolet Camaro knowing its rightful owners were Staunton Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. On March 10, in Count III, Leatherberry was charged with theft/deception in that defendant obtained control of a 2018 Chevrolet Camaro owned by Staunton Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram by means of deception.

Joseph D. Velarde (23) of Alton on June 10, in Count 1 committed the offense of residential burglary. Defendant entered the residence at 9441 Molton Road, Bunker Hill, with intent to commit a theft. On Count II, Velarde entered a garage located at 9441 Molton Road, with intent to commit a theft. In Count III, Verlarde was charged with burglary in that he entered the garage located at 9299 Rust Road, Bunker Hill, with the intent to commit a theft. Count IV charges Velarde knowingly exerted unauthorized control over property of David Meyer, being a Polaris General UTV, having a value in excess of $10,000 but less than $100,000. In Count V, Velarde is charged with unlawful possession of weapons by a felon. Defendant is a person who has been convicted of a felony under the laws of Illinois who knowingly possessed ammunition, being 12 gauge shotgun shells. In Count VI, Velarde committed the offense of fleeing/attempting to elude an officer in that defendant, while operating a motor vehicle, a Polaris General UTV, after having been given visual signals in the form of oscillating red and blue lights by a peace officer, Deputy Todd Page, directing the defendant to bring his vehicle to a stop, willfully failed to obey such direction.

On Dec. 19, 2022, Jeremy P. Cagle (44) committed the offense of possession of meth, less than 5 grams.

On April 11, Dawn M. O’Neil (47) of Virden was charged with accumulation of litter. Defendant allowed litter to accumulate upon the property she owned or was a tenant on which she controlled at 204 N. Emmett Street in Virden, in such a manner as to constitute a public nuisance.

On April 11, Patrick M. O’Neil (52) committed the offense of accumulation of litter. Defendant allowed litter to accumulate upon the real property he owned or was a tenant in which he controlled at 204 N. Emmett St., Virden, in such a manner as to constitute a public nuisance or in such a manner that litter may be blown or otherwise carried by natural elements onto the real property of another.
