Vivian Lea (Martintoni) Martin, 76, of Opdyke, Ill., died Jan. 10, 2023, at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, Mo. She was born July 30, 1946, in Williamson, a daughter of the late Robert and Marion (Bononi) Martintoni. Vivian married Richard Martin, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 7, 2006.

Vivian worked as a bookkeeper at Pitchford Elevator in Richview. She formerly worked at Karchmer Pipe and Supply in Centralia. Vivian was the owner of Parkway Shoe Repair in Mount Vernon. She loved working on the farm with her grandson. Vivian will be deeply missed by all who knew and adored her.

Vivian is survived by her son, Mario Hodge and wife, Debra of Bluford; daughter, Barbara Wells and husband, Lonnie of Mt. Vernon; grandchildren, Leanna Hamley, Michelle Henson, Silvio Hodge, and Sophia Hodge; sister, Beverly Williams and boyfriend, Ron Martin; brothers, Robert Martintoni and wife, Delores; David Martintoni; and special friend, Carole Hopper.

There will be no public services held at this time.

Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon was in charge of arrangements.
