The city of Staunton is reminding residents that daily fall yard waste burning hours will be in effect Oct. 15 through Dec. 15 from sunrise to sunset.

The city asks that residents follow these rules:

• Do not burn during a wind advisory;

• Someone 18 or older must be in attendance of the fire;

• No burning on city streets;

• No burning within 25 feet of a structure;

• Burning in ditches is allowed, but remaining debris/ashes must be removed.

If you prefer not to burn, yard waste may be taken to the city of Staunton yard waste facility located near the soccer complex on Wednesdays...
