Denver and Dinali Family Restaurant opened for business Monday, April 22, 2024. The American style restaurant did not disappoint. The opening went wonderfully. The owners, family and staff were busy making sure everyone had the best experience and the atmosphere was welcoming. The establishment has been wonderfully renovated and it is the perfect spot for this family restaurant.

The owners Everest Agaj and Alda Skenderi worked diligently to remodel the building located at 124 E. Henry St, in Staunton. The owners named this restaurant after their two sons, Denver and Dinali. The children were present, at the opening along with grandparents, Qemal and Xheko Skenderi and aunt, Denise Cook during the opening. Alda’s brother, Landi Skenderi, was assisting the grand event as Head Chef and his wife Klorida Skenderi tended to and served guests while visiting the restaurant.

The owners wanted to open this restaurant for generations to come, hence the family involvement. This family business is here to spread their roots and become successful amongst the community. “The only option is success,” said Alda, “this business is the rest of our lives.” The plan is to leave this for their children to eventually take over in the future. The family is growing in the community and they aspire to make strong, personal ties. Staunton has shown this family great love and support, during Denver and Dinali’s development, which has led the family to want to reciprocate that back into the community. “This small town has a great support system for others,” said Alda.

The owners chose these hours of operation because yes they are a family restaurant but also family orientated. Originally from Albania, they want to make this their new home. The reason for settling in Staunton is due in part to the family they had in the area, which helped them inevitably make their decision to choose Staunton.

A big inspiration in life for Alda, she claims, is Mother Teresa. Attributable to, Mother Teresa’s dedication to helping the poor and the sickest communities. While enjoying breakfast or lunch you may be in view of the beautiful portrait of this wonderful missionary.

Anyone visiting will feel that when they enter Denver and Dinali’s Family Restaurant, the love they have for their business, for their family, and for this community. Alda also shared with us an inspirational quote that she has in her office. “I still remember the days I prayed for what I have now.” Anyone that takes the time will see that this family business has a lot of heart.
