Gillespie's Marine Life Management On Its City Lake Is Underway

On Tuesday, April 16, the City of Gillespie installed equipment used to push oxygen down to the bottom of the lake, called a destratifier. The motive and reasoning is to help improve the water quality that is being delivered to the plant life material submerged under water.

This equipment is approximately eight foot by ten foot, and has a chain-link fence around it. This was placed at the opening of pump house cove, by the main body of water.
