April marked the five-year anniversary of the Staunton Helping Hands Center at the Main Street location. The facility remains full, clean, cheerful and open to anyone with food insecurity in Macoupin County. April was exciting in that the Staunton Junior High School Student Council came with donations and spent several hours stocking, cleaning, and organizing. The SHHC also received a new copy machine from the Greater Gateway Association of Realtors. Additionally, BJC Healthcare donated $3,500, from a nomination by Kimberley Williams.
