Senior #14 Cayden Silvester makes the catch in center field at the end of the game vs. Pana. He was also the starting pitcher for 5 innings to get the 7-3 conference win.
On Tuesday, April 12, the Staunton High School baseball team defeated Pana 7-3.
After Pana scored 1 run in the top of the first, Staunton rallied with 5 runs in the bottom and added another 2 in the bottom of the second to take the 7-1 lead. Pana added 1 run in the 3rd and 4th, but that ended the scoring with the Bulldogs ahead 7-3.
Staunton runs were scored by Sam Best, Trace Trettenero, Matthew Sievers, Cody Ury, Dillon Pritchett, Luke Meyer, and Luke Dewitt, 1 ea. Silvester led the hitting with 3 followed by Sievers and Sternickle with 2 ea., Best, Ury and Meyer with 1 ea. RBIs were c...
