    Advanced science and a commitment to the American notion of "No soldier being left behind" is the reason why the Defense of POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) has announced that a soldier from WWII was accounted for on May 11, 2023.     A Gillespie man on Wednesday was committed to up to 60 years in a state mental health facility after killing his mother in 2019. Macoupin County State's Attorney Jordan J.     Jesse H. Eaton III, 51, of Granite City, Ill., died on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at his residence. He was born Oct. 4, 1971, in LaGrange Park, the son of Marsha (Williams) Ponder and the late Jesse H. Eaton II. He married Ashley Woosley on June 24, 2016, in Edwardsville, and she survives.
