David Negro, 92, of Staunton, passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at his home. He was born May 16, 1931 in Staunton.

David was a life-long mechanic in the community and had been employed by Staunton Auto Parts. He was also employed by Staunton Police Department before his retirement.

He is survived by a daughter, Nancy (Steve) Griffith, Staunton; four grandchildren, Jamie (Darrel) Ruckman, Mt. Clair, Jill (Roger) Michaelis, Hillsboro, Aaron Hansel, East Alton, and Derek (Anita) Hansel, East Alton; he also leaves behind six greatgrandchildren.

As per David’s request, his body has been donated to science in the hopes that others can be helped through research. He also requested a quiet memorial among his family.
