Emmett C. Meador, 80, of Hamel, passed away at his residence in Hamel on Sunday, March 10, 2024. She was born April 16, 1943 in Hot Coal, W. Va., the son to the late Oscar Meador and Margaret (Perdue) Meador. he married Belinda L. Niehaus on May 31, 1986 in Carpenter, Ill., and she survives.

Emmett graduated from Pineville, West Virginia High School in 1960. He served in the U.S. Army and he was an Ironworker and EAP Coordinator at Granite City Steel in Granite City for 40 years and he retired in 2004.
