Kathleen Massey, 65, of Gillespie, died in Alton on Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2024. She was born June 9, 1958 to father, Homer Hunter and mother, Sophia Foster. They preceded her in death.

She married Les Massey of Gillespie on Nov. 17, 1978 in Belleville and he survives. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer (Michael) Brown, Alton; step daughter, Stella Massey of Brighton; grandchildren, Erika, Kaiden, Paislee, Allie, Christopher, Cierra, Jason, Madison, Joseph, Lena, Lyle, Ryea, Nyki, Matt; great-grandchildren, Bryson, Amelia, Xander, siblings, Earlene (Scott) Johnson, David (Thelma) Hunter, Frank Hunter, and Roger (Sue) Hunter. Kathleen was preceded in death by her daughter, Stacie Massey; and step son, James Massey.

Vistiation is on Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2024 at Kravanya Funeral Home in Gillespie from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Funeral services will follow on Feb. 28, 2024 at 4 p.m. Kravanya Funeral Home of Gillespie is in charge of the arrangements.
