Meyer

Todd Louis Meyer, 66, passed away on Jan. 28, 2024, at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield. Todd was born on Mar. 17, 1957 to William Edward Meyer and Patricia Lee (Dively) Meyer in Litchfield.

He attended Mt. Olive High School and served in the United States Army; stationed in Frankfort, Germany as a Chemical Specialist. He was Honorably Discharged as a Specialist 4th Class (SP4). He studied Instrument Calibration at Ranken Technical College in St. Louis, Mo., and he was employed at ExxonMobil as a Computer Safety Technician. He enjoyed interacting with nature and animals, having been an avid equestrian for decades. He took great opportunity to travel and those trips took him halfway around the world and back to Mt. Olive. He traveled more than the average person having spent time in Germany, the Middle East, and even Paris, France.

He was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his mother, Patricia (Meyer) Flora; two sons, Mason Meyer and Dusty Meyer; a brother, Michael Meyer; two sisters, Kim (Bob) Bartelt and Shanna Beal; grandchildren, Alyssa Meyer and Connor Meyer; a beloved dog, Ollie; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will take place Mar. 17, 2024, at 1 p.m. at Gudgel Ranch and Saloon in Litchfield. Family and friends are asked to wear green. Memorials are suggested to Adopt-A-Pet in Benld.
