Thimsen

Clara Lee Thimsen, 85, of Westminster, Md., died Jan. 14, 2024 at her home with her family by her side. She was born July 2, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Dorothy (Dannenburg) Fischer.

Before retiring, she worked at the Carroll County Board of Education, Westminster Duplicating, and worked in retail at Leggett/Belk. She was also a member of Grace Lutheran Church.

Clara was preceded in death by her son, David Arthur Thimsen. She is survived by her husband, Arthur R. Thimsen; daughters, Cheryl Lynn (Glen) Nelson of York, Penn. and Cynthia Lee “Cindy” (Richard) Henry of Thomasville, Penn .; sister, Del Hosto of Staunton; four grandchildren, Jessica (Josh) Wildasin, Stephen Hemler Jr., Carolyn (Chris) Bassett, and Nicholas Henry; seven great-grandchildren, Ashlyn, Landon, Evan, Liam, Leah, Layla, and Mckenzie; niece, Judy Fey; and other nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

Visitation and memorial service was on Jan. 20, 2024 at Fletcher Funeral and Cremation Services located in Westminster, Md. and Deacon Don Myers officiated. Private Interment was held at Meadow Branch Cemetery in Westminster, Md.
