Lloyd D. Leichsenring, 80 of Edwardsville, died at his residence in Edwardsville on Jan. 15, 2024, He was born on Saturday, April 3, 1943, in Hamel, the son of Gustav and Irma (nee Rotenburg) Leichsenring.

Born and raised in Hamel, he graduated from Edwardsville High School. He served with the US Air Force, from Feb 1962 to Feb 1966, active duty during the Vietnam War. He worked 30 plus years as a machinist at Mc Donnell Douglas Corp., St. Louis. He lived most of his life in Edwardsville. He enjoyed racing cars and was a car enthusiast.
