Katich

Delores M. Katich, 96, of Wilsonville, died at Gillespie Health and Rehab Center in Gillespie, on Jan. 16, 2024. She was born April 20, 1927, in Benld to the late George Chiado and Mary Margherio Chiado Bernardini. She married George W. Katich on Nov. 25, 1948 at St. Joseph's Church in Benld. He preceded her in death on Sept. 26, 1996.

She was a homemaker. Delores enjoyed cooking, canning, and going to their cabin called the 6-Pack Den on the river at Hardin.

She is survived by her son, George (Debbie Magee) Katich Jr. of Lake Zurich, Ill .; sister, Catherine Roglis of Mt. Clare, Ill .; sister-in-law, Ruth (Jim) Kirk of Festus, Mo .; several nieces and nephews.

Delores was preceded in death by her brother, Victor Bernardini; and sister, Evelyn Brania.

Funeral mass was held on Jan. 20, 2024 at St. Joseph's Church in Benld. Kravanya Funeral Home of Benld was in charge of the arrangements.
