Frank C. Eckhardt, 84, of Worden, died at Community Memorial Hospital in Staunton on Jan. 5, 2024 at 6 p.m. He was born Nov. 6, 1939, in Saint Louis, Mo. to Frank L. Eckhardt and Carrie R. Eckhardt.

He married Vera E. Hollandsworth Eckhardt on Oct. 23, 1964 and she preceded him in death.. He was a laborer for Illinois Laborers Local 397 in Edwardsville for 27 years. He was a veteran of the US Army. Frank enjoyed metal detecting, music, friends and family.

He is survived by his children, Kathy Dawes of Granite City, Brenda (Steve) Root of Granite City,, Dennis (Jeanne) Eckhardt of Staunton, and...
