Thomae

Eugene E. Thomae, 96, of Shipman, passed away at Jerseyville Nursing and Rehab on Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2023. Eugene was born in Bunker Hill on Nov. 18, 1927 the son to Joe and Edith (Moulton) Thomae and both preceded him in death.

He married his wife, Mary Lou Allen on Jan. 15, 1956 in Shipman and she preceded him in death on Nov. 8, 2013.

He was a graduate of Carlinville High School and served our country in the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers during the Korean War. He farmed for over 20 years and worked at Olin Corporation as a draftsman and engineer for 25 years. Eugene was also a member of Ship...
