Buske

Ruth Marie Buske, 87, of Staunton, died at the Staunton Health and Rehab Center in Staunton on Saturday, Dec. 9, 2023. Ruth was born Jan. 14, 1936 in Litchfield the daughter of the late Edwards Walz and Cordelia (Siegal) Walz and both preceded Ruth in death. Ruth married Richard Lee Buske on Oct. 26, 1956 and he passed away on Sept. 14, 1998.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Zion Lutheran Church of Staunton. Ruth was also an avid golfer and enjoyed playing Bunco with her friends.

She is survived by her daughters, Susan J. Hines of Litchfield and Sally Beth Buske of Grapevine, Texas; son, Scott (Heidi) Buske of Arlington, Texas; one granddaughter, Cheyenne Kelly Childress of Watauga, Texas; great-granddaughter, Eevie Marie Robbins of Watauga, Texas; and sister, Donna Holeschek of Staunton.

Memorial service will be located at the Zion Lutheran Church in Staunton on Thursday, Dec. 14 at 11 a.m. Rev. Phil Girardin will be officiating the services and the interment will be a private burial at Mt. Olive City Cemetery in Mt. Olive, at a later date.
