Miller

Roberta Delilah Miller, 97, of Mt. Olive, Ill., died on Monday, Nov. 6, 2023, at the Staunton Health and Rehab in Staunton. She was born on Aug. 4, 1926, in Litchfield, the daughter of Walter and Emma (Bilyeu) Griffith. She married Walter E. Miller on Nov. 14, 1953, at the Grantfork United Church of Christ in Grantfork.Walter preceded her in death on June 6, 1996.

Roberta was a homemaker and along with her husband Walter operated Miller Brothers Farm and Fertilizer in Walshville. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Staunton and was a past member of the American Legion Auxiliary in New Douglas. Roberta's greatest joy was her family and she cherished the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her two daughters, Marilyn (Sam) Pastrovich of Litchfield, Marla McCann of Staunton; five grandchildren, Erin (Keith) Linnenbringer of Clayton, Mo., Ryan (Sarah) Pastrovich of Oak Park, Eric (Leah) Pastrovich of Walshville, Matthew (Stacey) McCann of Glen Carbon, Chad (Melissa) McCann of Maplewood, Mo.; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, Dale Griffith of New Douglas. Roberta was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister-in-law, Darlene Griffith.

A funeral service was held on Thursday, Nov. 9, at Lesicko Funeral Home in Livingston with Pastor Thomas Brewer officiating. Burial was in New Douglas Cemetery.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Mt. Olive Academic Foundation. Lesicko Funeral Home of Livingston and Williamson Funeral Home of Staunton were in charge of arrangements.
