Neeley

Gary Otto Neeley, 67, of Staunton, Ill., died at his residence on Sunday, Sept. 24, 2023. He was born on Nov. 28, 1955, in Shelby, Mich., the son of the late Samuel Wilson Neeley Jr. and Caledia Ward Neeley.

He worked as a custodian at McHenry High School in McHenry, Ill. He was an avid fisherman.

Survivors include two sisters, Barbara Sakulenzki of Quincy, Brenda (Don) Best of Worden; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Cortesi, and a niece, Cassandra Castens.

No services are scheduled. Private interment of cremains will take place at a later date at Honey Bend Cemetery near Litchfield.
