Nancy L. Wood, 75, of Staunton, Ill., died on Thursday, Aug. 17, 2023, at Community Hospital of Staunton. She was born on Jan. 11, 1948, in Murphysboro to Monroe and Lucy (nee Marshal) Reeder. On Nov. 30, 1981, she married Albert Wood.

Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Albert Wood; children, Ryan Edwards, Rebecca Hartsook, Steven Wood; grandchildren, Jonathan Hartsook, Kyle Hartsook, Kaitlyn Edwards, Devon Edwards; sisters, Donna Durer, Selina Paskiewicz, Tracy Teeters, Wynona Johnson; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, and one sister.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, Aug. 24, from 1 to 3 p.m., at Kassly-Meridith Funeral Home in Collinsville. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home at 3 p.m. with Fr. John Beveridge officiating. Interment will take place at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the St. Jude’s Hospital. Kassly-Meridith Funeral Home in Collinsville was in charge of arrangements.
