Heinemeier

Andrew Patrick Dennis Heinemeier, 68, of Bunker Hill, Ill., died June 29, 2023, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis. He was born in Jerseyville on April 14, 1955, to John and Lela (Roman) Heinemeier. Andy married Ria Norton, on April 1, 1992, in Las Vegas, Nev., and they were married for 31 years.

Andy and Ria were hosts for foreign exchange student, Jana Geerhardt, who they “adopted” as their own. Andy affectionately known as “Uncle Honey” by all, worked as a self-employed contractor for over 33 years, doing what he loved, carpentry work. This job allowed him to travel all over the USA, working on federal buildings, from DC to California and all points in between. He was blessed with being able to go on as many ski trips to Colorado as possible and travel to Germany. Andy worked for Jarden’s Farms, Bunker Hill, and then Nu Way Concrete Forms and Rentals until the time of his passing. Andy really enjoyed his Hallmark movies, going to the movies and spending time with family and friends. Andy had many special friends that were like family: Steve Bertels of Bunker Hill, Brian (Carrie) Stawar of Bunker Hill, Jon (Jessica) Burris of Bunker Hill, Buzie Bertagnolli of Carlinville, and Josett Franke of Brighton.

Andy is survived by his wife, Ria; “adopted” daughter, Jana Geerhardt (Basti); three brothers and two sisters, Ed (Anita) Heinemeier of Bunker Hill, Tony Heinemeier of Las Vegas, Nev., Matt Heinemeier of Bunker Hill, LeAnn Heinemeier of Prairietown, Cathy Wieseman of Bunker Hill; one sister-in-law and two brothers-in-law, Babette Moorleghen of O’Fallon, Dennis (Linda) Norton of Aledo, and Donald (Karen) Norton of Springfield; 29 nieces and nephews; and 25 great-nieces and great-nephews. Andy was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Michael Heinemeier, Joseph Heinemeier, Gene Heinemeier and Charles Heinemeier.

Funeral services were held Sunday, July 2, at Kravanya Funeral Home in Bunker Hill. Burial was on Monday, July 3, at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Bunker Hill.
