Eric D. Roberts, 51, of Gillespie, Ill., died at his residence on Wednesday, May 24, 2023. He was born June 22, 1971, at Scott Air Force Base to Theodore "Casey" and Jean (Herron) Roberts.

He was a high-reach forklift operator for Gateway Commerce Center. Eric enjoyed listening to music, playing instruments and composing.

He is survived by his siblings, Aaron (Angeline) Roberts of Moro, Betty (Carl) Salmon of Ohio, Casey (Scott) Roach of Springfield; nieces and nephews, Xander Roberts, Xia Roach, Jordan (Garrett) Belville and Jacob Roach. Eric was preceded in death by his parents.
