Melanie Anne Hedlund, 67, of Troy, Ill., died on Sunday, May 14, 2023, in St. Louis, Mo. She was born Friday, Feb. 24, 1956, in Louisville, Ky., to Paul and Yvonne (Hakes) McAllister.

Melanie was a member of the Catholic Church. She enjoyed watching her TV programs, playing with the grand-dogs and visiting with her family.

Surviving are her children, Lori (Jeff Rachell) Sanders of Waterloo, Ill., Lisa (Rodney Weis) Kittel of Collinsville, Samantha Hedlund of Staunton; and her grandson, Charles Rachell. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 3, at Richeson Funeral Home in Troy, Ill. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Fr. Kevin Laughery officiating.
