Terriers enjoy successful 2022-23 seasons

The 2-M Conference recently hosted its annual banquet to award league titles for the 2022-23 school year. Member schools include Bunker Hill, Carlinville, Gillespie, Mt. Olive, Southwestern, and Staunton. The conference offers league play in eight different sports (see below). Staunton took home hardware in all eight sports, including seven 1st place titles. Athletic Director Brian Hart was on hand to accept the following accolades…

Baseball = 1st place (9-1)

Girls Basketball (7th) = 1st place (10-0)

Girls Basketball (8th) = 1st place (9-1)

Boys Basketball (7th) = 1st place (10-0)

Boys Basketball (8th) = 1st place (10-0)

Softball = 2nd place (7-2)

Volleyball (7th) = 1st place (9-1)

Volleyball (8th) = 1st place (9-1)

All told, SJHS finished 73-6 (.924) in 2-M play this season across all sports. Additionally, while track does not have a conference meet, all four levels finished either 1st or 2nd at the Macoupin County Track Meet (aforementioned schools plus North Mac). Congrats to A.D. Hart and all Terrier players and coaches on a successful season.
