The Macoupin County Tournament (boys and girls) opens on Jan. 16 at Bunker Hill. It is being played as a double elimination tournament and winds up with the championship round on Jan. 20.

The opening round of (boys)games on Monday, Jan. 16 has Gillespie vs. Bunker Hill (1:30 p.m.); Southwestern vs. Mt. Olive (4:30 p.m.) Staunton vs. Carlinville (7:30 p.m.) North Mac has received a first round bye and will play the winner of the Gillespie/Bunker Hill Game at 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 18.
