Flora L. "Flo" Clark, 96, of Gillespie, Ill., died at St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield on Thursday, Jan. 5, 2023. She was born Nov. 5, 1926, in Mt. Vernon, Ind., to Elmer Green and Esther Bradley Green. She married Donald R. Clark on May 24, 1947, in Gillespie. He preceded her in death on Feb. 13, 2012.

She was a homemaker. Flora was a member of the United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, United Methodist K Group where she was also communion steward 37 years and she was also in charge of getting acolytes for services. She was a member of TOPS. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and square dancing with Calico Twirlers and Kuntry Kuzins.

She is survived by her children, Donald (Paula) Clark Jr. of Staunton, Elaine (Mike) Hailstone of Gillespie, Patty Tiburzi of Sawyerville; grandchildren, Amy (Paul) Hailstone, Chris (Jenny) Hailstone, Stephanie (Jeff) White, Craig (Michelle) Tiburzi, Tara (Chad) Blankenship, Whitney (Brad) Curtis, Jaime (Kyle) Montgomery; bonus granddaughter, Heather; and 14 great-grandchildren. Flora was preceded in death by her parents; husband; granddaughter, Randi Clark; son-in-law, Jim Tiburzi; sisters, Blanche, Hazel; and brothers, Lloyd and Bob.

Friends may call on Saturday, Jan. 14, at Kravanya Funeral Home in Gillespie from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Funeral services follow on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Gillespie Cemetery in Gillespie.
