Staunton Star - Times - Published in the Interest of the Staunton Community for Over 143 Years

On Saturday, Dec. 3, the Scholastic Bowl team was one of 15 teams that participated in the SCSL Conference tournament. The teams participating in the tournament included Alton, Bunker Hill,Carlinville,Cumberland,Gillespie,Granite City, Greenville, Mater Dei, Metro East Lutheran, Mt. Olive, Hillsboro, Litchfield, Northwestern, Southwestern and Staunton.

Staunton placed 4th in the tournament. In first place was Southwestern, Second place was Metro East Lutheran. In third place was Alton High School. Max Eldred from Staunton High School was named 10th place all tournament.
