The 7th grade Lady Terriers basketball team had earned their way to the Illinois State Tournament at Auburn with their 22-0 record. In their first game at Auburn, Staunton faced another undefeated team, Pittsfield Pikeland (24-0).
Pittsfield Pikeland defeated Staunton 30-9. This loss ended the Terrier’s season with an admirable 22-1 record.
Pittsfield Pikeland went on to defeat Washington MS 58-28. The win put Pittsfield Pikeland in the State championship game vs. Paris Mayo to be played Dec. 8 at 7:30 p.m....
