Robert Arnold Badstebner, 89, of Benld, Ill., died at his residence on Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2022. He was born Aug. 4, 1933, in Benld, to Arno Robert Badstebner and Mary (Playton) Badstebner Negles.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army who served during Korea. Robert was a member of CFU Lodge 217. He was a former trapshooter, was a Cubs fan, and he enjoyed gardening, fishing and hunting.

He is survived by his children, Robert Badstebner of Sawyerville, Rose Ann Hapner of Hillsboro, Christina (Scott) Patterson of Benld, Dianna (Steve) Munos of Gillespie, Anthony (John) Badstebner of Highland; grandchildren, Ashley, Ciera, Joseph, Thomas; eight great-grandchildren; and sister, Joyce Kalvin of Sawyerville. Robert was preceded in death by his parents.

Private services will be held.
