The SHS girls hosted a golf match at Timber Lakes on Tuesday, Aug. 16. The Hillsboro girls won this match with a team score of 241 followed by Vandalia with 267.

Alex Frailey of Hillsboro was the match medalist with her round of 46 on the par 36 course. Abby Tate was Vandalia team medalist with a 65.

Staunton had only three girls competing so did not get a team score. Individually, Lilly Bandy was team medalist with her 52 followed by Breanna Feeley with 57 and Emma Tjaden with 58.

The girls were to play vs. Greenville, Pana, and Vandalia at Indian Springs on Aug. 30. Their next home match is Sept. 6 vs. Carlinville and Hillsboro.
