Staunton Star - Times - Published in the Interest of the Staunton Community for Over 143 Years

The meeting on June 16 was called to order by President Gerry Cook. The Lord’s Prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance were said by the 19 members in attendance. A get well card request was made for Betty Zarges. Happy Birthday was sung to Judy Hampton who was the only birthday girl in June. She also received a free bingo card.

Attendance prizes were won by Dee Masinelli and Dennis Williams. Pot of Silver winners were Bev Williams and Dennis Williams. Glenwood prizes went to Judy Hampton, Ruby Hering, Dorothy Fritz, Del Hosto and Gerry Cook. Winners of the donated prizes were Ruby Hering, Marlene Boston, Helen Lindsey, Bernadette Banovz and Toni Janus. The meeting was adjourned and everyone enjoyed playing bingo that was called by our Regional Administrator Leslie Vannoy. The next meeting will be on July 7, starting at 1 p.m. at St. Paul United Church of Christ, 225 S. Laurel St,. in Staunton. All seniors in the area are invited to join us.
