Scanzoni

Janice Lee Scanzoni, 77, of Livingston, Ill., died on Friday, May 20, 2022, at the Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City. She was born Oct. 23, 1944, in Leef Township in Madison County, the daughter of George and Leona (Schilling) Osterbuhr. She married Jacob “Jack” Scanzoni on July 31, 1965. Jack preceded her in death on April 20, 2016.

Jan was a cafeteria worker with the Livingston and Litchfield school districts for a combined 25 years of service. She was a lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in New Douglas.

Jan is survived by her daughter, Julie (Johnny) Clemons of Staunton; son, Jeff (Lisa) Scanzoni of Staunton; grandchildren, Thomas Clemons, Chelsea (Coltan) Scanzoni-Milton, Kali Clemons, Stefanie Scanzoni, Victoria Clemons, Abby Scanzoni, Jaden Clemons; great-grandchildren, Levi Eckart, Jacob Scanzoni, Taya Scanzoni, Ava Milton, Myles Milton, Nora Milton; sisters, Joanne Schneck, Karen Obermark; brother, Dean Osterbuhr and David (Maureen)Osterbuhr, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack Scanzoni; brother, Richard and Judith Osterbuhr; sister, Donna and Bert Hollaway; and brother-in-law, Eldon Schneck.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Interment of Janice’s cremains together with her husband Jack will be held in the New Douglas Cemetery in New Douglas.
