A son was born to Mr. and Mrs. Tom Spudich Jr. of Livingston on April 14 at Missouri Baptist Hospital.

Tricia Spencer and Jonathan Broskowski were married Sept. 28, 1996, in Staunton.

Colleen Margaritis Albrecht (68) of Staunton died April 18 at Community Memorial Hospital.

Donna Jean Jones (65) of Panama, Ill., died April 19 at Montgomery County Health Center in Hillsboro.

Joseph G. Reiniesch (76) of Gillespie died April 17 at St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield.

Hortense Laura Smith (94) of Mt. Olive died April 18 at Community Memorial Hospital.

Norman W. Gusewelle (77) of Prairietown died April 21 at Oliver Anderson Hospital in Maryville.

Issue of April 25, 2007

A burglary occurred at Fritz Drug Store on Main Street early Saturday morning. Prescription medication was stolen.

The rural residence of Alan Conroy on Renken Road was heavily damaged by fire last Tuesday night.

Two Wilsonville firefighters were charged with arson in regard to a fire in Wilsonville on Oct. 30, 2006.

Bronson Painter and Robert Schwandner are two new council members elected in last week’s election. Craig Neuhaus and Bart Yakos were reelected to their positions.

The four seats open on the Staunton CUSD #6 Board of Education were filled by incumbents Tom Allen and Rebecca Bohlen, plus Stefanie Legendre and Chris Tingle.

Edwin and Norma (Johnson) Franke will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on April 27.
