Soccer girls defeated Metro East

The Staunton Lady Bulldogs soccer team defeated Metro-East Lutheran High School (Edwardsville) on Monday, April 4th by a score of 8-3. Staunton goals were scored by Lexi Pfeiffer 1 Lily Bruhn 5, Sydnee Stanton 1 and Haris Legendre 1.

Sydnee Stanton #10 is right in the middle of the action during the game against Metro East last week.

Valeria Cazares and Madi Chvala shared goal tending duties for Staunton. Cazares was in the net for 57 minutes, had 8 shot on goal, allowed 1 goal and had 7 saves. Chvala was goalie for 23 minutes. She had 3 shots on goal, allowed 2 goals and made 1 save.

On April 8, the Staunton girls lost (1-7) to Freeburg.

Following the Freeburg game, the team season record stood at 5-4-1.

This week the girls are scheduled to play at Roxana on Wednesday 4/13 at 4:30; at Hillsboro Thursday, 4/14 at 4:30; and at North Mac on Saturday, 4/16 at 11 a.m.
