Staunton Star - Times - Published in the Interest of the Staunton Community for Over 143 Years

The Staunton High School track teams were in Champaign competing in the Gene Armer Invitational at the U of I campus last weekend. Several athletes recorded personal bests as the new season gets underway.

Freshman Grace Bekeske had the best place finish for Staunton as she set a personal record (1.42m) in the high jump and placed 10th.

Brianna Hainaut set a personal best 9.87 time in the 60 meter dash.

Sam Schnefke ran a personal best 3:08.42a in the 800 meter finals.

Lexi Pfeiffer also had a personal best performance in the 1600 meter finals with her time of 7:10.89a.
