Caidy Tuetken faces some tough defense during the game versus Carlyle in the Litchfield Tournament.
The Staunton High School girls basketball team competed in the Litchfield Invitational last week. In their first round on Nov. 22, the Lady Bulldogs defeated Southwestern 49-29. They returned on Nov. 23 and defeated Litchfield 45-13.
After a Thanksgiving break, the Lady Bulldogs were back in tournament play vs. Carlyle on Nov. 26. That was probably the most exciting game of the tournament but, unfortunately, the Lady Bulldogs were on the short end of the one-point game, losing 52-53.
The Staunton girls played their last game of the tourney on Nov. 27 defeating Nokomis 49-44.
