Sievers Jr.

Edwin W. “Sonny” Sievers Jr. of Worden, Ill., passed away at his residence in Worden on Saturday, May 11, 2024. He was born April 28, 1933 in New Douglas to the late Edwin W. Sievers Sr. and Esther Sievers. He married Carmen (Oehler) Sievers on June 23, 1957 at Zion Lutheran Church in Staunton and she survives.

He served in the U.S. Army. Sonny worked as a farmer on the family farm for many years. He loved his family more than anything.

He is survived by his three children, Nadine Sievers, Litchfield, Denise (Keith) Buschmann, Staunton, and Kevin (Mary) Sievers, Gillespie; five grandchildren,...
