Schumacher

Marilyn F. Schumacher, 93, of rural New Douglas, Ill., passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at Mill Creek Alzheimers’ Special Care. She was born on May 25, 1930 in North Platte, Neb., to the late Emile and Ethel Pearl (Lewis) Kurlbaum. She married Harold F. Schumacher on January 24, 1948, he passed December 21, 2012.

Marilyn was employed as a Production and Plant Manager at Forms Systems in St. Louis, Mo., for over 30 years. She enjoyed painting, sewing and playing cards. Marilyn was very proud of her family!

She is survived by three children, Dale (Pattie) Schumacher, Fay (Harry) Scheldt, and Jill Schumacher; five grandchildren, Michelle (Jerry) Selsor, Chris (Trisha Beal) Scheldt, Dominique (Chad) Schimpf, Sara (Rafal Szmyglewski) Schumacher, Hank (Siobhan Cusumano) Schumacher; ten great grandchildren, Jacob Selsor, Blakely Selsor, Benjamin Selsor, Kyron Streeb, Skylar Beal, Connor Harris, Carson Harris, Dylan Szmyglewski, Maya Szmyglewski, and Lily Szmyglewski; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her husband and her parents she is preceded in death by one grandson Jason M. Streeb; two sisters Audrey Johnson and JoAnne Weiss; two brothers Leonard Schwarz and Perry Schwarz and her stepfather Oscar Schwarz.

Services were held on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Auburn, Ill. Memorials are suggested to The Return of the Nighingail.com
