Days Gone By In Staunton

 


Thursday, Oct. 11, 1923 -- A WARNING -- An absolutely honest automobile driver told us the other day that he counted fifty-four small children playing in the streets of Staunton while he was driving around the city. Mothers and fathers are warned every day of the danger in permitting toddling children on the highways and streets. There is hardly an edition of the cosmopolitan papers in which there is not found a story telling of a small child either killed or maimed by a passing machine.
