Staunton Star - Times - Published in the Interest of the Staunton Community for Over 143 Years

Staunton Schools was recently awarded a grant through the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH). The IDPH was seeking one rural school in Illinois to engage in School Health Index (SHI) and Safe Routes to School (SRTS) initiatives. Fortunately, after an application and interview process, Staunton was the grant recipient. On Thursday, the SHI & SRTS committees participated in a walking audit and planning session with SRTS expert Mark Fenton from Tufts University in Massachusetts. A big thanks to all committee members who donated their time.
