The Mid-Illinois Communications Association (MICA) is currently accepting applications for the 2024 MICA Scholarship. This scholarship aims to support students majoring in communications, journalism, public relations, or related fields such as marketing, design, videography, and photography.

The scholarship program underscores MICA's commitment to fostering talent and excellence in the communications industry while recognizing the importance of investing in the educational pursuits of future professionals.

"We are excited to continue our tradition of supporting aspiring communicators through our annual scholarship program," said Brandy Renfro, President of MICA. "This scholarship not only provides financial assistance but also acknowledges the dedication and potential of students committed to pursuing careers in communications."

Eligible candidates for the scholarship include rising Juniors, Seniors, or graduate students with a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to a professional career in communications through educational work and extracurricular or job activities. Additionally, submission requirements include two references, an essay not exceeding 500 words, at least three work examples/links, and an official college transcript. One scholarship will be granted in the amount of $1,000.
