Virginia E. Greff, 63, of Benld, died at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, in St. Louis, Mo., on Jan. 31, 2024. She was born July 25, 1960 in St. Louis, Mo. to Arthur Damouth and Pearl Vincent Pruden. She married Charles J. Greff on Jun. 9, 1979 in Benld and he survives.

She was a medical assistant for Staunton Clinic and she enjoyed babysitting for her family.

She was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Damouth; mother, Pearl Vincent Pruden; step-father, Ralph Pruden; brothers, Gary Damouth and Larry Damouth.

Virginia is survived by her children, Anthony Greff of Benld, Alexander (Elizabeth) Greff of Glen Carbon, and Ashley (Donny) Slaughter of Benld; and grandchild, Charlotte Greff.

Funeral mass was on Feb. 6, 2024 at St. Joseph’s Church in Benld, and interment was at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Staunton. Kravanya Funeral Home of Benld was in charge of the arrangements.
