The Ben-Gil Gillespie first grade Girl Scout Daisy Troop 6212, ran by Katie Drummond, Jessica Chapman, and Beth Baugh, had a special night at their Jan. meeting.

They were able to give back to their community who has been so supportive of their fundraising during the Gillespie Holiday Sparkle. Without their support, their Sparkle fundraiser could not have happened.

The girls learned about their community and what giving and support means. They wanted to give back and help the library and the animals. The Troop made treats and toys for Adopt-A-Pet and surpirsed them with a donation.

Girl Scouts are offered to age groups 5-18 all throughout the area. If interested, please contact one of the Service Unit 107 Co-Managers, Jessica Wieseman (618) 772-8191 or Krystle Morgan (618) 225-7971.
