Sonya Lourdes Hilderbrand, 76, of Gillespie, died at the Gillespie Health and Rehab Center on Jan. 11, 2024. She was was born Feb. 11, 1947 in Mexico to Fernando Salamaca and Anna (Ugalde) Salamaca. She married Roy E. Hilderbrand of Gillespie, on Oct. 5, 2004 in Benld. She was retired after having been a cashier for Walmart. Sonya enjoyed cross stitching, reading, going to movies, music, and traveling. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fernando and Anna Salamaca;and brother, Frank Canseco.
