Hilderbrand

Sonya Lourdes Hilderbrand, 76, of Gillespie, died at the Gillespie Health and Rehab Center on Jan. 11, 2024. She was was born Feb. 11, 1947 in Mexico to Fernando Salamaca and Anna (Ugalde) Salamaca. She married Roy E. Hilderbrand of Gillespie, on Oct. 5, 2004 in Benld. She was retired after having been a cashier for Walmart. Sonya enjoyed cross stitching, reading, going to movies, music, and traveling. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fernando and Anna Salamaca;and brother, Frank Canseco. Sonya is survived by her children, Wendy (Earl) Gibson of Calif. And Wilbert (Heather) Boring III of Monroe City, Mo .; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Robert (Tina) Canseco of Calif., Miriam (Duarte) Benevides of Calif., and Bianka (Gene) Karger of Florida.

Friends may call on Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2024 at Gillespie Methodist Church from noon to 1 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. at Gillespie Methodist Church and Internment will be at Gillespie Cemetery. Kravanya Funeral Home in Gillespie is in charge of the arrangements.
