Court

Jason L. Rekart (50) of Benld, committed the Class four felony offense of domestic battery with one to two prior convictions, in that the defendant has been previously convicted of domestic battery in Cass County. On Nov. 27, 2023, Rekart knowingly put a household member of said defendant in a headlock in which the bodily harm caused redness to her neck and chest.

Jalane L. Brake (33) of Girard, faces a Class two felony charge for aiding, abetting, possessing, and selling a stolen vehicle on Oct. 23, 2023. Brake, a person not entitled to the possession of a 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer, possessed said vehicle knowing it to have been stolen.

Zachary D. Greer (29) of Staunton, committed the Class four felony offense of criminal damage to property on Oct. 29, 2023, having total value not in excess of $500 but less than $10,000. Greer knowingly struck the windows of an automotive vehicle causing them to break and did so without the permission of the owner of said vehicle.

Ariel D. Harrington (24) of Springfield, committed the offense of obstructing identification on Nov. 27, 2023. Harrington knowingly furnished a false name to a peace officer of the Virden Police Department, who had lawfully detained said defendant at a traffic stop.

Kirsten L. Stallings (32) of Magnolia, Tx., faces three counts for committing the offenses that occurred on Nov. 27, 2023. Counts one and two are for knowingly resisting the performance of a Trooper for the ISP within his lawful capacity. Stallings refused to identify herself when she had been stopped and asked to provide her identification by said Trooper. She refused to exit her vehicle, a 2020 blue Hyundai car with Tx. state registration, when she was given lawful commands to exit said vehicle, and struggled against officers attempting to remove her while heading southbound on Interstate 55 near milepost 48.5 in Macoupin County. Count three is for the unlawful possession of cannabis by the driver when she was stopped by the above mentioned Trooper at 8:12 p.m. on the date provided above, when the Trooper had been given reasonable suspicion that Stallings had committed an offense.

Kimberly L. Nicaise (33) of Carlinville, committed the offense of theft and unauthorized control of property having a total value of $500. On Oct. 24, 2023, Nicaise knowingly attempted to exert unauthorized control over toys, an air conditioner cover, and rope that belonged to a household’s Estate.

Dana A. Morgan (62) of Carlinville, committed the offense of theft and unauthorized control of property having a total value less than $500. On Oct. 24, 2023, Morgan knowingly attempted to exert unauthorized control over toys, an air conditioner cover, and rope that belonged to a household’s Estate.

David R. Scott, Jr. (35) of Carlinville, committed the offense of theft and unauthorized control of property having a total value less than $500. On Oct. 24, 2023, Scott Jr. knowingly attempted to exert unauthorized control over toys, an air conditioner cover, and rope that belonged to a household’s Estate.

Violet J. Vandee (75) of Wilsonville, faced a charge for the offense of attempted retail theft, having a total value not in excess of $300, offered for sale in the Dollar General located on S. Hard Rd., of Mt. Clare in Macoupin County. On Oct. 23, 2023, Vandee knowingly took possession of candy bars with the intent to deprive Dollar General without paying the full retail value of such merchandise.

Timothy I. Taylor (37) of Milwaukee, Wis., committed the offense of knowingly possessing more than 30 but less than 100 grams of cannabis or a substance containing cannabis on Sept. 2, 2023.

Richard J. Williams (42) of Staunton, committed the following offenses on Sept. 11, 2023, at the same address located at Walnut St., in Staunton : criminal trespass to a residence and criminal trespass of a building both knowingly and without lawful authority.

Gene Shepard (61) of Highland, committed the offense of using a bad check to obtain control over property of Madison Communications. On Sept. 15, 2023, Shepard, with the intent to defraud said corporation, knowingly delivered certain bank checks that would not be paid by the depository and said checks were drawn on Scott Credit Union payable in the amount of $59.90 and signed as drawer.

DUI

David W. Crook (52) of Belleview, Mo., was cited twice on Nov. 23, 2023 at 2:23 a.m. for driving a 1994 green Chevrolet truck having Mo. state registration, while under the influence of alcohol and for having a BAC of .08 or more on Fayette and Washington located within Macoupin County.

Donovan A. King (24) of Carlinville, was cited on Nov. 23, 2023 at 1:47 a.m. for driving a 2017 black Dodge Ram 1500 truck while under the influence on S. E. St. and E. 1st S. St. located within rural Carlinville.

Patrick M. Nejmanowski (57) of Carlinville, was cited for driving a 2002 white Chevrolet truck while under the influence on Route 4 and Donaldson Rd. located within Macoupin County on Nov. 27, 2023 at 10:40 p.m. On the same date and time provided previously, Nejmanowski was cited for driving said 2002 truck while his license is suspended and/or revoked.

Kayla M. Toenyes (23) of Moro, was cited for driving a 2020 blue Ford car while under the influence on Macoupin E. Maple St. located within Gillespie on Nov. 23, 2023 at 6:45 a.m.
