Rine

Paul Dean Rine, 87, of Mt. Olive, Ill., died on Saturday, Nov. 11, 2023, at Litchfield Health and Rehab Center. He was born on April 2,1936, in St. Louis, Mo., to Floyd Rine and Verna (Hicks) Rine. He married Judy Weidler on March 24,1962, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mt. Olive. She preceded him in death.

Upon completion of high school, Mr. Rine enlisted in the United States Navy and served from June 10, 1954, until June 9, 1958, when he was honorably discharged. Mr. Rine was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. He was employed by International Paper in Litchfield.

Survivors include one son, three daughters, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one son, and two sisters.

Funeral services were held at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mt. Olive on Friday, Nov. 17, with Rev. James Ritter, officiating. Interment was at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
