Delmar and Carol (Johnson) Balke will have an additional special blessing this Thanksgiving, as they will also be celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary. They were united in marriage at St. Paul’s E&R Church in Staunton, Ill., on Nov. 23, 1963, with Rev. Kenneth Kuenning officiating.

Delmar is a retired electrician and owner of Balke Electric Service. Carol is retired from Home Nursery, Inc. in Albers, Ill. where she was office manager.

They are the parents of four children: Delmar “Dean” Jr. (Laura), Lynn (Jim) Morgan, Sharon Stanton, all of Staunton, and Michael of Shawnee, Kan....
