Dr. William Ray Stinnett, 100, of Carlinville, Ill., died Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023, at his residence. He was born on Aug. 20, 1923, in Benld, to James and Pearl (Trioni) Stinnett. William married Olga Zebrun on June 21, 1946, at the Orthodox Church in Benld. She preceded him in death on Nov. 18, 2011.

William attended Illinois College in Jacksonville and Northwestern Dental School in Chicago. He first practiced dentistry in Barry, Ill., for five years. During the Korean War he served in the U.S. Air Force as a dentist stationed at the Tachikawa Airbase in Japan, holding the rank of captain....
